Who can join the Graduate Academy?

The programme is open to recent graduates of any UK/EU University. You can apply to a full-time programme if you are not currently employed; you can also apply if you are working but feel under-employed in your current job and can take time off to attend the training course and final conference. Students in their final year are also welcome to apply to full-time programmes taking place after they have graduated. You can only apply to a part-time programme if you are currently working.

Before proceeding with an application, please first check that you meet the following specific eligibility criteria:

  • You are a graduate or, if you are currently a final year student, your course will have ended by the start date of the Graduate Academy programme.
  • You reside in Wales.
  • You can undertake the work experience in Wales, or you are employed in Wales.
  • You are available to attend and complete all elements of the programme.
  • If you are an international student, and a non-EU citizen, who has graduated from a UK University, you have leave to stay in the UK under the Tier 1 post study work scheme or other relevant scheme. Please note: you will be asked to provide documentary evidence of your visa status if short-listed for interview. (You are not eligible to apply to the Graduate Academy if you only have a student visa or extended student visa in place, or if you have applied for a permit under the Tier 1 post study work scheme or other relevant scheme and are awaiting a decision.)
