Description

Packaging World is a Swansea based company established in 2004. They are suppliers of gift packaging, jewellery display units etc. They supply companies such as L’oreal, Procter and Gamble, Thorntons, Clarins, Cunard and many more.

Packaging World are looking for a graduate to work with them on a 10 week project to develop their website. This project has two elements.

The first part will involve using your photography skills to photograph new and existing products. These images will then be developed and enhanced and loaded on the website.

The second part is to work on the graphics and overall appearance of the website. You must be very passionate about all aspects of design and should be enthusiastic and excited about learning more.

Due to the nature of the company you will be required to be a hands on team player and when demand increases it will be expected that you will assist with all aspects of the companies operation including; office, warehouse and dispatch.

  • At the end of the project, you will have successfully professionally photographed all new products and categorised and displayed them on their new look website. This will enhance the company profile and allow them to increase their customer base.

The chosen candidate must have a HND or Degree in Graphic Design or photography skills/experience. Experience of operating or creating a website and studio based photography would be an advantage.

GO Wales work placements are periods of employment that are designed to offer students and graduates good quality work experience in Wales. Our research has shown that in some cases work placements lead to a longer–term position with the host company.

An integral part of GO Wales work placements is the City and Guilds Professional Development Award; all individuals on placement complete this short work based qualification which allows them and the host employer to make the most of the experience.
